Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Vocal Music Teacher to lead and grow our choral and elementary general music programs. This full-time position includes directing choir ensembles in grades 7&#8211;12 and teaching general/classroom music to students in grades 4&#8211;6. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with strong piano proficiency, a student-centered teaching philosophy, and a commitment to fostering a love of music in young people. Key Responsibilities: * Direct the 7th Grade Choir, 8th Grade Choir, and High School Choir (Grades 9&#8211;12), including planning and leading rehearsals and preparing for concerts and performances throughout the school year. * Teach general music classes to students in grades 4, 5, and 6, using engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum. * Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate school-wide music activities and performances. * Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students. Qualifications: * Valid teaching license in Vocal or Music Education (K&#8211;12 or applicable certification). * Proficient piano skills required (both as an accompanist and instructional tool). * Experience working with choir ensembles and/or general music at the elementary and secondary level preferred. * Strong classroom management and organizational skills. * Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
