St. James Public Schools is seeking a visionary and student-centered leader to serve as Principal of Northside Elementary School (PreK–5). The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering academic excellence, building inclusive practices, and cultivating a safe, supportive, and innovative school culture. This leadership role is integral to our mission:

The Principal reports directly to the Superintendent and will serve as both the instructional and operational leader of the school.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide instructional leadership to ensure high-quality teaching and learning aligned with district goals.
* Promote an inclusive, welcoming environment for students of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
* Oversee day-to-day school operations, student services, and staff development.
* Supervise and support over 40 licensed educators and collaborate closely with the school social worker and community liaison.
* Actively participate in the district leadership team, working alongside middle and high school staff, community education, district administrators, and the Superintendent.
* Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the broader community to enhance student success.
