POSITION: English Teaching Faculty (PCN 00750850)
STARTING DATE: Approximately August 19, 2025
APPOINTMENT: Full-Time Unlimited

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct in person and online courses in English (80-100%).
- Fulfill responsibilities of the position in accordance with the master agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.
- Leadership and supervision of ATCC library services for on-campus and online students (0-20%; dependent on meeting Librarian credential requirements).
- Find and recommend source materials necessary for research (print and electronic information sources including databases).
- Instruct members of the college community on skills needed to use library resources.
- Oversee the library budget.
- Act as liaison to academic departments.
- Plan special programs related to library services.
- Provide work direction to student workers.
- Maintain currency of library website.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Meeting the English credential requirements is the minimum qualification.
Minimum:
- Master's degree with a major in English or Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in English.
Preferred:
- Two years of professional library experience/higher education teaching.
- Experience working with MnPALS Alma Library System, Minitex and OCLC Library Systems.
- Experience teaching college-level courses.
- Experience in teaching developmental writing and reading courses.
- Experience evaluating student performance.
- Experience teaching online courses.
- Teaching philosophy that supports a student-ready/student development focused approach.
- Ability to work with a student body with a broad range of interests and abilities.
- Ability to work as a positive team member.
- Use of OER materials.
- Formal training in online pedagogy.
