School Age Child Care (SACC) Program Aide
Are you looking for a summer job? Do you enjoy working with elementary-age children? Are you responsible, motivated, and reliable? This is the perfect job for you. Work is done nightly by 6 p.m., and there are no weekends! If you are considering a career with youth or in education, this is a great way to get hands-on experience, and it will also enhance your future college or job applications.
Required:
Be a minimum of 16 years old to apply.
Be responsible, motivated, and reliable; work effectively with children, parents/guardians, and staff.
Attend all annual training dates in June, complete the CPR training, and fulfill other Mn DHS training requirements.
Complete an additional state NetStudy background check required by the MN Department of Human Services for all childcare staff.
Preferred:
Experience with school-age children is advantageous.
Role:
Assist staff in fostering a safe, positive, and healthy childcare environment.
Exhibits a positive attitude and energy, demonstrates patience and empathy, communication and listening skills, maintains confidentiality, engages in creative thinking, effectively engages children in play, organizes and maintains care environment, and acts as a responsible and positive role model.
Duties Include:
Responsible for assisting in daily program, safety, behavior, family communication, and supporting program staff.
Rate of pay: $13 per hour
Hours: Part-time hours, vary Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6 pm.
