Foley Intermediate School
Position Available:The Foley Board of Education (District 51) is announcing an opening for the position of an Intermediate School Principal. The Board is seeking applications from highly qualified and motivated candidates who will purposefully develop a cooperative and professional culture that pursues educational excellence.
Location: Foley Intermediate School
Rate of Pay: Per Administrator’s Master Contract
Position Summary: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental job duties:
* Leads, directs, coordinates, supervises, and is accountable for the daily operation of the intermediate school.
* Communicates with the superintendent, staff, students, parents, and community and promotes district and site vision, goals, priorities, expectations, and plans.
* Responsible for recruitment, making hiring recommendations, supervising, and evaluating site personnel.
* Implements school board policies and interprets them to staff, students, and parents.
* Prepares parent/student and staff handbooks.
* Creates and maintains a positive school climate with mutual trust and respect, productivity, and high morale.
* Prepares all local, state, and federal reports required within the area of responsibility.
* Stays abreast of changes in education and educational administration through additional graduate coursework, attendance at professional meetings, and current educational reading.
* Prepares and delivers various reports to the superintendent and school board.
* Responsible for scheduling of students and staff for appropriate assignment of duties.
* Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring the effectiveness of programs for staff development and instructional improvement, addressing district, site and individual needs.
* Organizes and supervises the areas of site maintenance, improvements, and safety/security.
* Provides leadership in the development, analysis, evaluation, and improvement of the educational and operational functions of the site.
* Participates actively on the district administrative team, serves on other district and community groups as needed or appropriate.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field (required)
* Valid Minnesota administrative license (K-12 Principal or equivalent)
* Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
* Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and fostering inclusive environments
* Proven experience in staff supervision, instructional leadership, and organizational management
