Job Title: Student Services Coordinator Work Schedule and/or FTE: 1.0 (215 duty days) Bargaining Unit: Individual contract Salary Range: Individual contract, $94,000 - $120,000/year, depending on experience Desired Start Date: July 1, 2025 Job Summary: The Special Education Coordinator serves as a strategic partner to assigned sites and programs, taking direction from building administrators and actively participating in site and program events to ensure visibility and engagement within the school community. This position is responsible for overseeing special education programs and services across the district, collaborating closely with students, staff, parents, and district leaders to ensure the effective development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related support services. The Coordinator manages and coordinates resources, provides ongoing guidance and support to special education staff, and promotes inclusive practices that support all learners. Working in partnership with special education teachers, general education staff, administrators, and families, the Coordinator ensures students receive appropriate instruction, accommodations, and services in compliance with federal and state regulations. This position reports directly to the Director of Special Services and assigned sites/programs supervisor (Administrators). Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of special education laws, regulations, and policies. * Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities using academic data to ensure students are making progress * Train paraeducators with a one-page summary of a student&#8217;s full IEP. * Analyze academic and behavioral data to identify areas of strength and need for students with disabilities and provide recommendations for intervention and support * Work with technology to support with CLEVER integration for special education * Collaborate with the special education team in the development and implementation of IEPs, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines. * Provide coaching and feedback to special education teachers, and staff on effective instructional strategies, data collection, and progress monitoring. * Provide coaching and feedback to paraeducators when necessary and appropriate. * Work in collaboration with building administrators to build student schedules that align with IEP services and needs. * Allocate building caseloads at the beginning of the school year and also throughout the year as students move into the district. * Coordinate and monitor the provision of appropriate services and accommodations for students with special needs. * Collaborate with general education teachers and other stakeholders to promote inclusive practices and ensure the successful integration of students with special needs in the general education setting. * Provide guidance and support to teachers and other staff members on best practices for working with students with special needs. * Collect and analyze data related to student progress and program effectiveness, making recommendations for program improvements as necessary. * Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment for students with special needs. * Collaborate with district personnel to ensure proper allocation of resources, including staff, materials, and assistive technology. * Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of special education, attending professional development opportunities and sharing knowledge with staff. * Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to provide accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities in the classroom and during assessments * Analyze academic and behavioral data to identify areas of strength and need for students with disabilities and provide recommendations for intervention and support * Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations related to special education, such as IDEA, Section 504 and ESSA. * Communicate and coordinate with parents, administrators, and outside agencies regarding the needs and services of students with disabilities * Provide professional development and training for teachers, paraeducators, and staff on best practices for teaching and supporting students with disabilities * Works with all case managers to determine what para needs are on an ongoing basis for scheduling paraeducators into classes based on meeting the needs of students. * Conduct paraeducator annual evaluations in partnership with administrators when appropriate and.or necessary. * Conduct and/or with proctoring paraeducator&#8217;s exam. * Support the building administrators with special education teacher evaluations * Lead monthly paraeducator meetings * Advises and supports administration and master scheduler to develop the master schedule * Attend weekly child study meetings * Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Special Services and Assistant Director of Special Services QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree in Special Education or related field (required). * Director of Special Education or K-12 Principal license (required upon hired). * Minimum of five years of experience in the field of special education. * Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to special education. * Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills * Experience working with students with disabilities in various settings and grade levels * Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, staff, parents, and community members. * Proficient in using technology for data collection, analysis, and communication purposes. * Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders * Knowledge of current trends and research in special education Core Skills &#8211;
