Job Summary: The position will support the operations of the high school's flex area, including supporting students getting started on classroom work, monitoring spaces, and communication back with teachers as needed. This position will support the high school by building positive relationships with students and being present in the spaces as they monitor. This position is part of our system that supports high school students in realizing academic and behavioral success. The ideal candidate will possess strong collaborative and communication skills, is technology savvy, is self-directed but a team player, is culturally aware, and responsible.
Essential Job Functions
* Assists students in flex area by setting expectations and supporting the function of the space/
* Assists in the management of the school building.
* Build positive relationships with our amazing students.
* Assists with behavioral management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly space, and ensure students are on task.
* Support the school in other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Candidates must have completed two or more years of college, possess strong academic skills across multiple disciplines including science, mathematics, language arts, and social studies. The successful candidate must also be highly skilled at working with high school students. Additional demonstrated qualifications include: Commitment to the equitable education of all students, must be a self-starter, and able to use computer technology and software. This individual will work with students, teachers, and other staff throughout the school day.
Preferences: We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students.
