REACH stands for Relationships, Education, Accountability, Character and Hard Work. This position will consist of 2 hours of 9th-12th grade REACH and one hour of 7th and 8th grade REACH. Applicants with a background in ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), (SEL) Social Emotional Learning, Mental Healh, Suicide Prevention and Cultural Competency would be beneficial In REACH students work on goal setting, relationship building, self-care, communication skills and many other things. Class sizes are small and are supported by a paraprofessional and the school social worker. Applicants with a background in ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), (SEL) Social Emotional Learning, Mental Healh, Suicide Prevention and Cultural Competency would be beneficial Minimum requirement: Bachelor's Degree. Teaching degree desired but not required This position is a split schedule, teaching 1st, 6th and 7th periods. This is a .5 FTE position paid on the Teacher Master Agreement. Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Knowledge of current art instructional teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiates instruction based upon student learning styles. * Knowledge of art curriculum and concepts. * Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. * Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed. * Ability to organize and coordinate work. * Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. * Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. * Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work. Reach Teacher
