Qualifications/Degree: Valid Minnesota Teaching License in CTE, Family and Consumer Sciences, Industrial Technology or Agriculture Position Summary: This position will teach a Career and Technical Education Exploratory class at Stewartville Middle School. The curriculum will explore multiple components of Career and Technical Education including: * Harvest/Preservation * Small Woodworking Projects * Food Safety * Growing Media * Plant Science * Budgeting * Sales/Marketing * World Foods * Garden Types * Material Estimation/Selection * Nutrition/Labels * Careers Special Job Requirements: Within federal and state law and regulations and district policies and practice: * Responsible for the management of the instructional program and assigned students. * Responsible for establishing and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assisting in the same throughout the building. * Responsible for the assessment of student progress. * Responsible for ensuring the Minnesota State Standards are met. * Responsible for other duties as assigned by the building principal which are necessary to fulfill the basic function of the position and are consistent with the Master Agreement.
