This full-time, benefit-eligible position (40 hours/week) is ideal for an educator who is passionate about nurturing both the academic and spiritual development of young learners. The ideal candidate will embrace the use of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to foster teamwork and continuous improvement, use data to drive instruction, and implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. As a Catholic educator, this teacher will also be responsible for modeling and teaching the Catholic faith, guiding students in their moral and spiritual growth as well as their academic success. Core responsibilities include: * Learning Environment * Promotes positive student engagement, independence, and interdependence in learning by facilitating a positive learning environment through the use of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. * Create a respectful, responsible, safe, and virtuous environment integrating Christian values for all students. * Establishes classroom procedures and routines that promote a positive learning environment. * Planning and Preparation * Demonstrates effective planning skills by preparing lessons designed to implement stated goals and objectives by incorporating MN state standards and Diocesan curriculum standards in lesson plans. * Collaboratively develops curriculum that adheres to appropriate, delineated standards and is vertically aligned to ensure that every student successfully masters essential standards. * Develops and uses effective methods of formative and summative assessments that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluates student progress. * Contribute to the team&#8217;s Professional Learning Community (PLCs) through data-based collaboration to support individual student learning with the PLC process. * Catholic Dimension * Respects Catholic values and aids students in Christian formation by exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the classroom. * Understands, supports, and implements the unique mission of Catholic education by speaking, acting, and instructing in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church. * Understands and accepts the teachings of the Catholic Church and the moral demands of the Gospel and contributes to the achievement of the school&#8217;s Catholic identity and apostolic goals, including participation in the school's liturgical life. * Development of Students * Design classroom instruction to engage and motivate all students, addressing the diverse needs and capabilities of each student by using accommodations, differentiation, and personalized learning. * Develops positive relationships and social-emotional skills with students. * Sets and maintains high standards for student behavior and manages inappropriate behavior with a care-based approach. * Using data gained from formative and summative assessments, identifies areas for students to grow academically and tailors instructions and learning opportunities to meet those defined growth areas. * Effectively communicates and partners with parents to meet individual student growth areas. * Instructional Practices * Plans and implements instruction to engage students, putting a focus on individual student instructional goals. * Demonstrates competence in teaching by demonstrating current, thorough knowledge of curriculum and subject matter, utilizing various assessment models to measure growth. * Communicates effectively with students. * Organizes classroom learning and materials to maximize student time on tasks as well as motivate student learning. * Uses multiple formative assessments to analyze student performance and to inform subsequent planning and instruction. * Employs a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to meet the learning styles of all students. * Cooperate with other teachers, specialists, parish, counselors, and administrators to assist in identifying and responding to students' academic and/or learning needs. Qualifications * Current MN Teaching Licensure * For teachers of religion, be an active participant of the Catholic faith, demonstrating an understanding and acceptance of Catholic doctrine.
