The specialist will make a positive contribution to improving student academic and social behaviors in support of our mission. The specialist will be attuned to individualized behavior support in support of restorative practices and the district&#8217;s multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). In addition to being the primary provider of behavior interventions, the specialist will serve as a vital member of the Student Success and Crisis Prevention leadership teams. Through the support of administrators, the specialist will develop and assist with the implementation of staff training, nurture relationships with students and families, and facilitate restorative practices to promote improved school climate and culture. This position offers candidates a tremendous opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students and be a valuable asset to the Delano Schools community while gaining valuable experience supporting students in the school environment. QUALIFICATIONS Required: * A professional teaching license that covers grades 7-12, or the ability to obtain one is required (any licensure area is acceptable). SPED licensure (any disability area) and/or experience with behaviors is preferred.
