Job Description: Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy at Parkview Center School for a long-term substitute Special Education Setting III (grade 2-4) teacher. This is a 1.0 FTE position for the 2025-2026 school year starting August 25, 2025, through June 10, 2026. The Setting III BEAM Teacher plays a pivotal role in supporting students with significant emotional and behavioral needs in a highly structured and therapeutic environment. This teacher will provide academic instruction, social-emotional learning, and behavioral interventions tailored to each student’s individualized needs. The role includes collaborating with staff, families, and service providers to create a supportive learning atmosphere where students can achieve personal and academic success.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with student goals.
* Provide direct instruction in core academic areas while integrating social-emotional learning strategies.
* Employ evidence-based behavioral interventions and maintain a structured classroom environment.
* Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
* Collaborate with special education staff, counselors, and families to support students’ academic and emotional growth.
* Facilitate crisis prevention and intervention techniques, as necessary.
* Maintain clear and professional communication with families and related service providers.
Responsible To: Principal
Qualifications:
* Minnesota Special Education licensure required; Special Education ABS licensure preferred.
* Experience case managing students.
* Commitment to an equitable and inclusive education experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.
Compensation: Minimum full year, full time starting salary is $49,171, plus a district contribution towards insurance.
