Hancock Public School, a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, has a full-time vacancy for an upper elementary (6th grade) teacher starting with the 2025-26 school year. Hancock is a small, friendly community of approximately 800 residents located in West Central Minnesota. Hancock Public School is a financially sound district, and thanks to strong support and involvement from the community, and a committed staff, our student population continues to grow. A complete remodel of existing space and new additions were added to our K-12 facility in 2013 and 2019. Candidates interested in the position must: 1. Utilize best practice teaching strategies including differentiated instruction. 2. Have a strong background in technology including the use of SMART Boards, Chromebooks, I-Pads, and laptops in the classroom. 3. Be creative and forward thinking. 4. Be skilled at meeting the diverse needs of all learners. 5. Be knowledgeable in the use of data to differentiate and drive instruction. 6. Be outgoing and community minded. Willingness to invite/involve parents and community members in the classroom is a must. 7. Have a willingness to be involved in other aspects of the Hancock Public School culture and community. 8. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 9. Enjoy working as a collaborative team member in a K-12 setting. 10. Possess appropriate MN elementary teaching license. Coaching vacancies include: Head softball, various junior high and JV positions.
