This role is funded through the Minnesota Department of Education&#8217;s ADSIS (Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services) grant and is designed to reduce the need for future special education referrals by delivering supplemental support within the general education setting. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: * Valid Minnesota teaching license (e.g., Elementary Education, Remedial Reading, Mathematics or appropriate licensure for grade level served) * Proven experience teaching reading/math and implementing reading/math interventions * Strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy/math practices and progress monitoring tools Preferred: * Experience working with MTSS or Response-to-Intervention (RTI) frameworks * Experience working with diverse learners, including English Learners and students with IEPs or 504 Plans PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Acquires knowledge of the school&#8217;s academic programs and expectations/goals; works to support and achieve those goals. * Deliver tiered reading interventions aligned with the school&#8217;s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). * Provide small group or individual instruction in reading or math using evidence-based programs and strategies (push-in and pull-out methods). * Monitor student progress using benchmark assessments, diagnostic tools, and ongoing data collection. * Maintain a comprehensive inventory of literacy/math instructional materials and resources. * Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and MTSS teams to coordinate services and identify students in need of support. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, service minutes, and intervention effectiveness as required by ADSIS reporting guidelines. * Participates in ongoing and regular staff, team and individual professional development. * Participate in professional development related to literacy/math instruction, intervention strategies, and data analysis. * Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support at home. * Assist in the preparation and submission of ADSIS data reports and evaluations to the school and district. * Maintains consistencies in instructional programs and other academic decisions made by shared leadership of the staff and the senior administration. * Develops guidelines for safety and the school day classroom behavior; ensures students follow them. * Organizes desks, bulletin boards, classroom materials, computer stations and other classroom displays as directed by the senior administration. * Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. * Has a working knowledge of and implements the Minnesota State Standards. * Participates in all school/family events beyond the school day. * Follows other duties as assigned by the senior administration. GENERAL PURPOSE:
