Position Summary: Owatonna High School is looking for a student-centered Social Studies teacher who is a lifelong learner, setting high expectations for all learners. The teacher will establish collaborative & impactful relationships with colleagues, families, and students. Teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning. Candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact on students and our school environment. Qualifications: -Valid MN Social Studies Teaching license. -Student-Centered -Commitment and belief around ensuring all students learn at high levels. -Demonstrated use of research-based instructional and engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs while using data and assessments to guide instructional decisions. -Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students to achieve student learning results.
