Examples, but not limited to, Visual Arts, Dance, Foreign Language, Music, Physical Education, Science, Theatre, and Yoga. Your Impact as a Specialist Teacher * Design and deliver engaging, dynamic lessons in your specialty area * Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom where all students thrive * Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of learners and combined age groups * Collaborate with colleagues to co-teach, plan, and assess across disciplines * Integrate outdoor experiences and service learning into your instruction * Use restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches to create a safe, positive classroom culture. * Build strong relationships with families to support student growth and success * Embrace the spirit of adventure and the principles of EL Education What You Bring * A valid Minnesota K&#8211;7 teaching license in your specialty area (or eligibility to obtain one) * Prior classroom teaching experience is a plus * Passion and/or experience in EL Education, Outdoor Learning, Social Emotional Learning, Trauma-Informed Care, or Restorative Practices * A growth mindset, a team spirit, and a love for kids and the outdoors Application Process To apply, please submit the following to careers@heartlandlakescs.org<mailto:careers@heartlandlakescs.org>: * Your resume * Cover letter * Contact information for three professional references * Documentation of licensure or eligibility In your cover letter, please respond to the following: * What is your specialty area? * How you see the HLCS mission reflected in your teaching philosophy and practice.
