The University of Minnesota, School of Music is seeking an interim educator and leader to join our team for the 2025&#8211;26 academic year. This position supports the Pride of Minnesota Marching Band, Gopher Groove Pep Bands, and concert ensembles. Instruction/Administration (75%) The Interim Assistant Director of Marching and Athletic Bands responsibilities include assisting the Director of Athletic Bands in the teaching, performance, and administration of the University of Minnesota &#8220;Pride of MN&#8221; Marching Band; teaching, performance, and administration of the Athletic Pep Bands &#8220;Gopher Groove&#8221; in both fall and spring semesters; arranging and drill writing for the Marching and Athletic Bands&#8211;as needed; administration for Campus Bands (non-major ensembles); guest conducting concert wind band ensembles; and potentially co-teaching and conducting a concert band ensemble, and/or teaching a Marching Band techniques course. Program Support (15%) Assist and support all aspects of the athletic and concert band programs with the Director of Bands, Associate Director of Bands, and the Director of Marching and Athletic Bands.
