POSITION DETAILS Grade: 6-8 Position: Soccer Coach, two openings available. Start Date: 2025-2026 Part-Time beginning September 2025 ROLE OBJECTIVES STRIDE Academy is seeking a passionate and committed Soccer Coach for our 6th&#8211;8th grade program. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a positive impact on young athletes by teaching teamwork, leadership, and healthy living. The coach will promote academic achievement, personal growth, and a love for the game in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. KEY DUTIES Plan and conduct soccer practices that focus on skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Provide positive mentorship and encourage academic success among student-athletes. Supervise students during practices, games, and travel (if applicable). Communicate regularly with players, families, and school staff. Ensure student safety by following district protocols and state guidelines. Collaborate with the Activities Director and other coaches as needed. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Uphold all Minnesota laws and STRIDE Academy policies regarding staff-student conduct. Monitor and enforce the student code of responsibilities. Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification. Check and respond to email communication daily. Oversee assistant coaches and volunteers in coordination with the Activities Director. Serve as a role model on and off the field, fostering respect, leadership, and integrity. REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age. Knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and skill development. Experience working with middle school students is preferred. Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate young athletes. Successful completion of the STRIDE Academy School District background check. CPR/First Aid certification (current). Previous coaching experience preferred but not required.
