Job Purpose: Provide supervision and instruction of physical education and health to PreK- 8th grade children of All Saints School in accordance with the Mission and Philosophy of the school. Commit to building a strong faith and learning community by supporting the spiritual and educational goals of All Saints School.
Representative Responsibilities:
· Instruct a classroom of students for whom you are responsible, with a variety of instructional strategies, using verbal and non-verbal communication effectively.
· Physically supervise children both in classroom and non-classroom settings.
· Provide a full teaching day for the students for whom you are responsible.
· Attend faculty meetings, in-service days, conference days and retreat days as requested by the principal.
· Be involved in curriculum development committees, faculty jobs and special school activities.
· Satisfy responsibilities in a timely manner, recognizing when a situation requires more effort and attention.
· Respond positively to work requests, and provide an example of punctuality and attendance.
· Engage students in learning through the preparation of lesson plans that respond to the variety of learning styles.
· Work to create a learning community within the classroom. This includes, but is not limited to, developing the following characteristics: the classroom is a safe place to make mistakes; learning as a lifelong process; self-confidence; and acceptance of diversity.
· Help students see the connectedness of all learning by developing integrated approaches to learning and by providing adjustments to the curriculum to meet student needs and abilities.
· Demonstrate enthusiasm for the profession of teaching by being an active learner.
· Participate in workshops, professional reading and other professional opportunities.
· Engage in opportunities to grow spirituality and theologically.
Job Qualifications/Education/Experience
- Current teaching license from the state of Minnesota or equivalent proficiency and knowledge of the subject area.
- Ability to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and satisfy Archdiocesan Virtus requirements.
- Catholic preferred or familiar with Catholic values and teachings.

7. Proficient in use of technology for instruction and professional applications.
8. Able to work cooperatively and respectfully in a team setting, keeping students as the main priority.
9. Knowledge and support of the mission of All Saints Catholic School.
10. Able to follow all guidelines of the Faculty Handbook and All Saints Catholic Church Employee Handbook.
Physical Demands
1. Able to provide physical supervision to students assigned to their care.
2. Able to speak and hear.
3. Able to lift and move using proper techniques up to 30 pounds.
