The Education Assistant will work with students in the Media Center at Tiger Elementary. This position will work 185 days per year and 6.75 hours per day. The salary range for this position is $18.07 per hour - $20.57 per hour. Salary is dependent upon education and experience. Responsibilities Include: * Provide instruction to second and third-grade classes under the direction of the teacher-librarian. * Follow and implement measures to make the library a supportive element of the instructional program. * Assist teachers, students, and administrators in identifying resource materials for use in the classroom, class assignments, or personal reading interests. * Use Destiny, the library cataloging system, for checking out materials, inventorying, running reports, and cataloging materials. * Assist in shelving new books and shelf reading to ensure books are housed in the correct spot. * Book mending * Perform laminating services for staff. * Additional duties as assigned by the Librarian or School Administrator. * Maintain confidentiality standards by adhering to the district&#8217;s data privacy policy. * Attend meetings and in-service for staff development. Follow suggestions made by classroom teachers, principal, and others who may provide staff development.
