Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Elementary Music Teacher to join our team and inspire a love of music in students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about engaging young learners in joyful, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate music instruction that fosters creativity, collaboration, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
● Plan and deliver engaging general music lessons aligned with state standards and district curriculum
● Teach foundational musical skills including rhythm, melody, movement, singing, and instrument use
● Incorporate a variety of music styles, cultural traditions, and instruments
● Organize and direct student performances (e.g., winter and spring concerts, assemblies)
● Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and exploration
● Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and administration to support student learning
● Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Qualifications:
● Valid state teaching license with appropriate music endorsement/certification
● Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field
● Strong classroom management and communication skills
