Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to join our team at Albany Elementary. The ideal candidate will create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters academic achievement, personal growth, and a love of learning. This position provides the opportunity to guide students in building foundational skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies while encouraging curiosity and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with elementary standards.
- Deliver instruction in a clear and engaging manner, utilizing various teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of current trends in elementary education.
- Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and orderly learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, or relevant instructional subject area. Requires a valid MN drivers license. MN Teaching Certification and Licensure in assigned are of responsibility.
- Prior teaching experience or experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in Family and Consumer Sciences education.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with the school community.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and the school environment.

- Beginning Monday, January 5, 2026 through June 1, 2026.
