Preschool Classroom Teacher
Full-Time | Immediate Opening
Foundations Christian Academy – Ham Lake, MN
At Foundations Christian Academy, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where students can grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally. Our preschool program serves children ages 3 to 5, offering a full-time class schedule Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a maximum of 10 children per classroom. Guided by faith, our school aims to instill values that will serve as the first bricks in the foundation of their future.
Our classroom instruction draws from Biblically based education using the Principle Approach®, Noah’s Plan, and the widely respected Creative Curriculum for Preschool. We are committed to helping each child reach their full potential as we partner with families to shape the leaders of tomorrow with a strong foundation built on Christian principles.
Your Role: A Teacher as a Scholar and Disciple-Maker
* Instruct with Purpose: Guide children through play, exploration, and age-appropriate lessons, weaving biblical truth into daily routines and activities.
* Model Christlike Character: Demonstrate patience, joy, and love in the classroom while providing consistent guidance and gentle correction.
* Lay the Foundation of Faith & Learning: Teach from the understanding that Christ is central to all knowledge and that preschool is the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of truth.
* Cultivate Curiosity & Independence: Foster wonder, creativity, and early problem-solving skills while encouraging children to take ownership of their learning through exploration and discovery.
* Partner with Families: Support parents in their role as primary disciplers, creating a warm and transparent partnership for each child’s growth.
Qualifications
* A committed follower of Jesus Christ
* Early Childhood Education Certificate required; Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
* Experience working with preschool-age children in a classroom or childcare setting
* Strong understanding of, or willingness to be trained in, the Principle Approach®
* Heart for nurturing young children and laying a biblical foundation for their lives
* Effective classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
