Job Description:

LSH Schools is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Elementary Substitute Teacher to provide classroom coverage across elementary classrooms. This full-time position requires daily reporting to the elementary school and will involve substitute teaching in various classrooms based on daily staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the elementary school each day.
• Provide instruction and classroom management for students in various grade levels (PK-5) across elementary school settings.
• Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher or create appropriate instructional activities when plans are not available.
• Manage student behavior and ensure a safe and productive classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents as needed.
• Be flexible and adaptable to different school cultures, subject areas, and grade levels.
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, or other assigned non-instructional duties.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching License or Substitute Teacher license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (preferred).
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to various learning environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students of varying ages and academic levels.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to daily assignments.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday.
• Daily reporting to the Elementary School.
• Assignments will vary each day based on school needs.
