POSITION:  Onamia Academy Director
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Onamia Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Director for Onamia Academy School. Onamia Academy is a residential treatment program for boys 10-19 years of age with significant mental health issues and harmful behaviors. The Director is responsible for the day to day operations of the school, including staff evaluations, student behavior, professional development, and collaboration with Nexus Family Healing Staff. Qualified candidates should have a strong background in implementing researched-based instructional strategies, equity/diversity, leading professional development including Professional Learning Communities. Experience working as Director is preferred, but not required. The Director reports directly to the Superintendent. 
 
The Onamia School District is located along the south shore of beautiful Lake Mille Lacs and is just one and a half hours north of Minneapolis on Highway 169.
