We are a vibrant school community serving about 6,200 students from the suburbs of Blaine, Fridley and Spring Lake Park, in the northern Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Roles and Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for all assigned preschool teacher duties including the creation of a welcoming learning environment, the implementation of Early Childhood curriculum, designing innovative hands-on activities with clear learning targets, assessment of student progress, management of the classroom, parent communication, and collaboration with other district staff.
 
Qualifications: 
*Current MN teaching license required in one of the following: Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 3), Pre-Primary (Age 3-Pre-K) or Pre-kindergarten (Pre-K)
*Knowledgeable in early childhood curriculum content, assessment, native and English language programs, and instruction
*Experience in providing guided instruction for students who are identified as at-risk
*Ability to build positive relationships with students and families that result in high levels of engagement in learning
*Previous experience working with preschool age children 
*Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferences: We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students.  Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning as evidenced by graduate-level work or an earned degree, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.
