SCHEDULE:
Full time; 8.5 hour/day - approximately 159 days per year
Follows MACCRAY Calendar - We are a 4 Day Week School
REPORTS TO:Elementary Principal
SUPERVISION: None
SALARY: Depends on experience $43,000 minimum (half year is $21,500)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Current MN ECSE teaching license or ability to obtain one.
Preferred
Bilingual
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Instructional Planning and Preparation
Provide weekly special education service for students
Collaborate with other special education providers such as occupational therapist, physical therapist, and speech/language pathologists
Coach families on best practice strategies
Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy
Demonstrate knowledge of students
Select instructional goals
Demonstrate knowledge of resources
Design and deliver coherent instruction
Assess student learning
Classroom Environment
Create an environment of respect and rapport
Establish a culture for learning
Manage classroom procedures
Manage student behavior
Organize physical space
Instructional Interaction
Communicate clearly and accurately
Use questioning and discussion techniques
Engage students in learning
Provide feedback to students
Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness
Professional Responsibilities
Reflect on teaching
Maintain accurate records
