POSITION:  Head Cross Country Coach

START:  August 2026

HOURS:  Vary based on practice time and meet times.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To carry out the aims and objectives of the cross country program; develop student-athletes of character through the sport of cross country, instruct athletes in individual fundamentals, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. Must be able to adjust work for practices and meets. Assist with scheduling meets, invitationals, and practices, and supervision of athletes in the cross country program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Complete MSHSL Head Coaching Course and subsequent modules before August 2026 and have previous experience working with high school-age students. A strong background in cross country as a participant and/or coach is required. Must have good communication and organizational skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, parents, community members, and students. Also, understands the role of the level the individual is coaching as it relates to the program.

SALARY:  $6,844 for the season
