Position Summary
Hayfield Community Schools is seeking a qualified Industrial Technology Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time position is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in a variety of Industrial Technology courses related to construction and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will foster student interest in technical careers while promoting safe, practical, and real-world learning experiences.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Instruct Industrial Technology courses in areas such as:
- Woods
- Small Engines
- Fabrication (laser engraving/CAD/vinyl)
- Home Improvement (DIY)
- Construction and Manufacturing-related coursework
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
- Maintain a safe and organized instructional environment
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student learning
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Teaching License required
- Preferred licensure areas include:
- Construction Careers
- Manufacturing Careers
- Industrial Arts or Technology
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Salary
Salary is based on level of education and full years of licensed teaching experience, in accordance with the district’s negotiated agreement.
