Key Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Direct all aspects of the SEU football program, including varsity, junior varsity, and coordination with junior high levels.

• Player Development: Cultivate a culture of discipline, sportsmanship, and physical fitness while teaching fundamental and advanced football skills.

• Staff Management: Recruit, supervise, and mentor a staff of assistant coaches to ensure a cohesive coaching philosophy across all levels.

• Community Engagement: Act as a positive ambassador for the program within the Sleepy Eye community and maintain strong communication with parents and school administration.

• Off-Season Oversight: Manage summer camps, weight room programs, and conditioning sessions to ensure year-round athlete progression.

Qualifications

• Coaching Experience: Prior experience in a leadership role (Head Coach or Coordinator) at the high school or collegiate level is preferred.

• Certification: Must hold or be eligible for a Minnesota coaching license/certification.

• Knowledge: Deep understanding of current football schemes, safety protocols, and MSHSL rules and regulations.

• Character: Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to motivate young men to reach their full potential on and off the field.
