Location: Liberty Classical Academy – White Bear Lake
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Compensation: $45,000+ Salary commensurate with experience and educational attainment 

Job Summary

Liberty Classical Academy is a vibrant, mission-driven K–12 school committed to academic excellence and character development through a classical, Christian education. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Latin Teacher who is qualified to serve as Head of the Language Department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in Latin instruction, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to classical education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Latin, Classics, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred

• Several years experience teaching languages at the middle and/or high school level

• Demonstrated leadership experience or readiness to serve as department head

• Strong knowledge of Latin language and classical teaching

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and school leadership

• Commitment to professionalism, academic excellence, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Teach Latin courses at multiple levels in accordance with the school’s classical curriculum

• Lead and oversee the Language Department, including curriculum planning and alignment

• Mentor and support language teachers, fostering instructional excellence

• Develop and evaluate department goals, assessments, and instructional resources

• Collaborate with school leadership to strengthen the language program

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
