Positions: Long-Term Sub: Middle School Social Studies (8th Grade Geography)
Dates Available: 1/27/2026 - 6/5/2026
General Duties: The employee hired to this assignment will need to be able to teach World Geography to 8th grade students.
Required qualification: Licensure appropriate to teach social studies to 5-8 grade students.  
Preferred Qualifications: 

• Strong knowledge base and experience in Geography & U.S. History.  
• Previous experience working with middle school students. 
• Evidence of strong relationship skills with children and colleagues.  
• Strong commitment to effective pedagogical practices including: team planning and collaboration, highly engaging and authentic social studies instruction, differentiation, and formative assessment. 
• Commitment to the middle school practices of developing academic, social, emotional, interpersonal and ethical growth. 

Compensation/Benefits:

• Compensation will be $250.78 per day
• This position does not qualify for benefits.
