Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year at ACGC Schools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing treatment for students with speech and language disorders. This full-time position requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to promote effective communication and enhance students'' academic and social success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to create supportive learning environments.
- Provide consultation and training to staff on strategies to support students with communication challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
- Stay updated on current research, best practices, and technology related to speech and language therapy.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
- Advocate for students'' needs and promote awareness of speech and language disorders within the school community.
Requirements
- Master''s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to diverse student needs.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and resources for enhancing communication skills.
Work Days: 154.5 (146 School Days + 8.5 Teacher Days) plus opportunities for Extended School Year and Overload
