Job Summary: Serve as the Head Coach for the Girls Volleyball Team, providing leadership, organization, and direction for all aspects of the program. The coach is responsible for promoting skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic responsibility while cultivating a positive team culture that supports student success and community engagement.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Plan, organize, and lead practices that emphasize volleyball fundamentals, team systems, and skill progression.

• Develop and implement match strategies, rotations, and lineups appropriate for competitive play.

• Provide individualized instruction to support athlete growth and confidence.

• Foster a positive, inclusive team environment that values respect, effort, and sportsmanship.

• Collaborate with assistant coaches, athletic staff, and school administration to ensure program alignment, safety, and compliance.

• Communicate clearly and consistently with parents, students, and staff regarding schedules, expectations, and team goals.

• Monitor academic progress and reinforce the importance of balancing athletics and education.

• Manage team equipment, uniforms, and overall program logistics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and age-appropriate coaching strategies.

• Ability to teach, motivate, and support student athletes with varying skill levels.

• Effective communication and leadership skills that promote teamwork, accountability, and discipline.

• Strong organizational skills for planning practices, matches, and program operations.

• Commitment to student development, character building, and academic success.

• Ability to adapt coaching approaches to meet individual and team needs.

• Familiarity with technology tools for scheduling, communication, and performance tracking is preferred.

Working Environment: Works collaboratively with assistant coaches, school staff, and athletic administrators to maintain a safe, supportive, and positive environment for all participants.

Experience: Previous experience coaching volleyball or working with youth athletes is preferred. A background in education, physical education, or athletics is beneficial.
