We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our school facility starting June 1, 2026. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are upheld. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces. Handle janitorial responsibilities including trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces to promote hygiene. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including cleaning large equipment or specialized areas. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or flooring issues. Maintain cleanliness standards during scheduled shifts and ad hoc requests to ensure a consistently tidy environment. Use commercial cleaning tools and custodial equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care and buffing procedures. Experience with industrial cleaning tasks is a plus. Ability to operate custodial equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers safely. Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills. Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
