We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook to join our team, bringing passion and expertise to our food service operations. In this role, you will be preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals to children of all ages on a daily basis between Little Stangs Learning Center in Buffalo Lake, MN and Buffalo Lake Hector Stewart School in Hector, MN. Requirements: Valid Drivers License and the ability to lift 50# or more. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines. Plan menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements, including special diets and cultural preferences. Transport prepared meals safely to different sites, ensuring food quality and safety standards are maintained during transit. Collaborate with local staff to set up dining areas, serve meals efficiently, and assist with food presentation. Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation standards at all times. Manage kitchen supplies by monitoring inventory levels, ordering ingredients as needed, and minimizing waste. Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments while maintaining high standards of culinary excellence. Experience Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or institutional settings. Strong background in menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations. Fine dining or restaurant experience that demonstrates advanced cooking skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling techniques, and sanitation practices. Skilled in culinary techniques such as knife skills, food presentation, and catering preparation. Previous kitchen experience in the food industry or catering environments is highly valued. Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with diverse teams across multiple locations.
