Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.
Valid Minnesota Department of Education licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
Knowledge of special education due process and compliance requirements.
Successful background check required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders. Ability to provide therapy and interventions to students with a variety of communication needs. Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Specific Tasks:
Provide speech-language services to special education students participating in the district’s Extended School Year (ESY) program in accordance with student IEPs. Deliver direct speech and language therapy services as outlined in student IEPs. Monitor student progress and document services provided during ESY. Collaborate with special education staff, instructional assistants, and administrators to support student communication needs. Provide strategies and support to staff to help students access instruction and communication supports during the ESY program. Maintain accurate service logs and documentation in accordance with district and state special education requirements. Participate in ESY planning and communication with staff as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
