POSITION DETAILS Grade: K-8 Position: ADSIS Literacy Interventionist Start Date: 2026-2027 School year FTE: 1.0 ROLE OBJECTIVES The ADSIS Literacy Interventionist supports student achievement by providing targeted, evidence-based literacy intervention aligned with the Science of Reading. This role focuses on delivering structured literacy instruction to students who require additional support in reading, including those with characteristics of dyslexia. The ADSIS Literacy Interventionist uses assessment data to identify student needs, implement intervention plans, and monitor progress over time. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate data tracking and documentation to support student growth and ensure compliance with ADSIS requirements. KEY DUTIES Provide direct, systematic, and explicit literacy intervention to students in grades K?8. Implement structured literacy approaches aligned with the Science of Reading. Deliver intervention using the Barton Reading & Spelling System with fidelity. Identify students for intervention using assessment data and team collaboration. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data. Administer and interpret literacy assessments (e.g., FASTBridge, Dibels or similar tools). Maintain accurate and organized records of student progress and intervention effectiveness. Use data to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes. Maintain required ADSIS documentation, including time and effort reporting. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and leadership to support student learning. Communicate with families regarding student progress and strategies for support at home. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and professional learning communities (PLC). Work collaboratively with school leadership and staff to support student achievement and positive school culture. Maintain professional responsibilities, including meeting schedules and deadlines. Stay current on research and best practices in literacy instruction and intervention. Perform other duties as assigned.
