Hancock Public School, a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, has a full-time vacancy for a K-12 Physical Education/Health teacher starting with the 2026-27 school year. Licensure in the areas of Physical Education and Health are required. DAPE certification would be beneficial, but is not required. The successful candidate will be working with another full-time K-12 PE/Health teacher. Hancock is a small, friendly community of approximately 800 residents located in West Central Minnesota. Hancock Public School is a financially sound district, and thanks to strong support and involvement from the community, and a committed staff, our student population continues to grow. Candidates interested in the position must: 1. Utilize best practice teaching strategies including differentiated instruction. 2. Possess a passion for physical fitness and encourage students to make healthy choices that last a lifetime. 3. Have a strong background in technology, including an interest in integrating technology into the PE curriculum. 4. Be creative and forward thinking. 5. Be skilled at meeting the diverse needs of all learners. 6. Be outgoing and community minded. Willingness to invite/involve parents and community members in the classroom is a must. 7. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 8. Enjoy working as a collaborative team member in a K-12 setting. 9. Possess appropriate MN teaching license. Coaching vacancies include: volleyball, basketball, and head football.
