Elementary School Social Worker Position Type: Social Worker Date Posted: March 23, 2026 Location: Pine Island Elementary School Work day/Year: Full-time beginning in the 2026-2027 school year Closing Date For Applications: April 6, 2026 Job Summary: Independent School District #255 Pine Island is seeking an elementary school social worker. The social worker will be responsible for effectively and efficiently assisting students in grades K-4 and working with staff and families to help deliver the best elementary school experience possible. Teamwork is at the core of the work that takes place at Pine Island Elementary School and this position would be working closely with the elementary school principal, the elementary school dean of students, the elementary school student success coach, and other staff members. Job Duties: Creating and maintaining positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the community. Collaborating with and assisting staff members on how to best serve the students. Working with students individually. Working with students in a group or classroom setting through activities and lessons. Working with both special education students and general education students. Managing 504 plans. Being a bridge to other organizations that help students and families. Collaborate with other district social workers and counselors. Carry out other duties that would be related to the social worker position. Qualifications: Current (or anticipated) Minnesota licensure to be a social work at the elementary school level.
