Glencoe-Silver Lake School District #2859 has an opening for an Academic Dean to serve at the Junior/Senior High School in Glencoe. This is a 1.0 FTE position starting the 2026–2027 school year.
The Academic Dean (Teacher on Special Assignment) at Glencoe-Silver Lake Junior/Senior High School is a student-centered leadership role focused on supporting academic success, graduation readiness, and post-secondary planning. Working closely with students, staff, and families, this position coordinates academic advising, monitors student progress, and helps implement systems and interventions that support student achievement. The Academic Dean also plays a key role in course registration, master scheduling, and guiding students through academic pathways, including PSEO and alternative learning options.
This position serves as a bridge between students, teachers, and support systems by collaborating on academic interventions, analyzing student data, and ensuring all students have access to the resources they need to succeed. As part of the building leadership team, the Academic Dean contributes to school-wide initiatives, supports staff collaboration, and helps maintain a positive, student-focused school environment. Preferred candidates include licensed teachers with five or more years of secondary experience, or individuals holding a school counseling or school social work license.
Pay: Pursuant to ED MN Glencoe Silver Lake bargaining group master agreement salary schedule ranging from $43,087 to $90,681 per year, based on the candidate''s education, skills, and professional experience.

Minnesota licensure is required. Occasional lifting of 10 to 20 pounds may be required.
The school district requires applicants for school district positions who receive an offer of employment to submit to a criminal history background check.
