Start Your Online Application Now Date of Availability: Open until filled Date Closing: Open Until Filled Assistant/JV Golf Coach Rockford High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant/JV Golf Coach for our girls and boys golf programs. All coaches at the district are responsible for providing leadership, guidance and instruction to student athletes within their program. The coach reports to, and works closely with, the head golf coaches to determine goals and direction of the program. All coaches are responsible for the health, safety and welfare of every student athlete participating on their team. The Assistant/JV Golf Coach has the following responsibilities: Previous high school golf coaching/playing experience is preferred. Ability to coach at all levels within the program and various areas within the program. Strong organizational skills and flexibility. Ability to take direction from the head coaches. Effective communication skills with parents and students. Enhance, improve, and maximize students'' athletic skills required to compete at a high level. Communicate with the head coaches and/or activities director to secure facilities and ensure a safe practice/competition environment for students. Support the philosophy, programmatic instruction of sequential fundamentals, and proper conditioning communicated by the head coaches. Plan and communicate practice sessions and competition strategies with the head coaches to ensure the health and physical well-being of the student participants. Coordinate all in-season practices with the head coaches. Ensure all student participants are registered and cleared to participate through the Activities office. Model and instill the values of sportsmanship and fair play to all participants, and enforce consequences for breaches of such standards. Attend all student-athlete practices, competitions, and monitor proper supervision at all practices, competitions, and on school-provided transportation. Maintain and provide the head coaches with end-of-season assessment of players. Participate in a mandatory preseason parent meeting. Assist the head coaches in planning for the seasonal recognition program. Perform other duties as assigned by the head coaches and/or activities director. This position is a one year contract with a start date of March 16, 2026. The JV season ends in late May/early June 2026.
