Start Your Online Application Now The Austin Public School District is seeking to hire a Full Time 1.0 FTE Gifted and Talented Teacher effective for the 2026-2027 school year at Southgate Elementary Position Overview Austin Public Schools is seeking a full time 1.0 FTE Elementary Pi Academy Teacher to join our multi-age, inquiry-driven program for highly-gifted and highly-able learners in grades 1?4. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about designing learning experiences that challenge students through increased pace, depth, and complexity, while nurturing curiosity, independence, and advanced thinking. In this role, the teacher will guide students through daily core instruction with a primary focus on reading and language arts and will collaborate closely with a co-teacher responsible for mathematics instruction. Together, this team will create a cohesive, intellectually rich environment where students can thrive academically and socially. Qualifications: Elementary Minnesota Teaching License (required). Experience in gifted education, multi-age environments, or advanced learner programming (preferred). Endorsement or coursework in Gifted & Talented Education (preferred).
