Primary Purpose The ECSE Facilitator / Instruction & Inclusion Coach supports educator growth, instructional excellence, and inclusive practices across early childhood programs. This position provides coaching to special educators, supports general education collaboration, and ensures due process compliance for Early Childhood Special Education. Work will be directed by the Executive Director of Special Services, in collaboration with the Principal/Program Director, aligned to the APS Strategic Plan and Site Improvement Plans. Essential Functions Instructional Coaching & Professional Learning Build staff capacity in specialized instruction, inclusive practices, data-driven decision-making, and MTSS-aligned supports in early childhood settings (birth?age 5). Provide on-site coaching, mentoring, and problem-solving for ECSE teachers. Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development for paraprofessionals. Participate in professional learning, conferences, workshops, and district development to refine coaching practices. Collaboration & Systems Alignment Collaborate with general education staff, building administrators, and district departments to develop integrated instructional systems for all learners. Work with building leadership to create schedules that reduce service barriers and maximize instructional access. Coordinate with PLCs, SSTs, ISTs, and MTSS Teams to align instruction, interventions, IEP goals, and programming decisions. Attend Site Leadership Meetings to maintain alignment between building initiatives and special education services. Support district special education improvement efforts, including curriculum review and implementation cycles. Special Education Compliance & Due Process Support IEP teams with data interpretation, intervention planning, and service alignment, including ESY determinations. Facilitate the Early Childhood Special Education referral process (Help Me Grow). Coordinate Early Childhood Screenings in partnership with district teams. Ensure fidelity to due process, procedural requirements, and state/federal regulations. Essential knowledge and specialized subject knowledge required to perform the essential functions of the job: Prior successful experience in multicultural education desirable. Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development. Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students'' learning styles and needs, both academic and affective.
