This role focuses on using assessment and problem-solving to drive meaningful educational decisions, support student growth, and strengthen team-based practices across schools. Qualifications Minnesota School Psychologist license preferred School Psychologist interns encouraged to apply Experience working with students with disabilities preferred Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assessment & Evaluation Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations Complete record reviews, observations, and standardized assessments Interpret and communicate results to educational teams and families Consultation & Collaboration Collaborate with staff, families, and administrators to support student needs Participate in evaluation planning, eligibility determination, and IEP development Provide consultation on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions Student Support Assist teams in using evaluation data to inform instruction and services Support implementation and monitoring of intervention strategies Provide staff training and professional development as needed Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate and timely records and reports Ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements Collaborate with outside agencies as appropriate Meetings Special education team meetings (evaluation, eligibility, IEP) Child Study and problem-solving teams MTSS meetings Monthly School Psychologist meetings Cooperative professional learning and PLCs Other meetings as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong collaboration and consultation skills Effective written and verbal communication Knowledge of evidence-based academic, behavioral, and social-emotional practices Understanding of special education law and due process Ability to manage timelines and maintain accurate documentation Commitment to regular and reliable attendance Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs Ability to respond to student needs, including potential physical intervention (training provided) Ability to travel between sites (valid driver''s license and insurance required) Work Environment Work is performed in school settings across multiple districts and may include occasional home or community visits. The role involves regular interaction with students, staff, families, and outside agencies. Position Overview

The Paul Bunyan Education Cooperative is seeking a collaborative and student-centered School Psychologist (licensed or intern) to support member districts in delivering high-quality, legally compliant special education services.

This role focuses on using assessment and problem-solving to drive meaningful educational decisions, support student growth, and strengthen team-based practices across schools.

Qualifications

  • Minnesota School Psychologist license preferred
  • School Psychologist interns encouraged to apply
  • Experience working with students with disabilities preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
  • Complete record reviews, observations, and standardized assessments
  • Interpret and communicate results to educational teams and families

Consultation & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with staff, families, and administrators to support student needs
  • Participate in evaluation planning, eligibility determination, and IEP development
  • Provide consultation on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions

Student Support

  • Assist teams in using evaluation data to inform instruction and services
  • Support implementation and monitoring of intervention strategies
  • Provide staff training and professional development as needed

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and timely records and reports
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements
  • Collaborate with outside agencies as appropriate

Meetings

  • Special education team meetings (evaluation, eligibility, IEP)
  • Child Study and problem-solving teams
  • MTSS meetings
  • Monthly School Psychologist meetings
  • Cooperative professional learning and PLCs
  • Other meetings as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong collaboration and consultation skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of evidence-based academic, behavioral, and social-emotional practices
  • Understanding of special education law and due process
  • Ability to manage timelines and maintain accurate documentation
  • Commitment to regular and reliable attendance

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to respond to student needs, including potential physical intervention (training provided)
  • Ability to travel between sites (valid driver''s license and insurance required)
