St. Mary?s School in Owatonna is seeking an instrumental music (band) teacher, preferably of the Catholic faith, for the 2026-2027 school year. This position includes: directing four bands (5th grade, 6th grade, 7th-8th grade, and Jazz band), weekly individual/group lessons, developing student interest in the performing arts, preparing for five concerts per year, practicing music with students that will be sung at Mass, and helping lead the Liturgy band/choir at weekly student Mass. The applicant should possess a love of learning, be enthusiastic, have a focus on learning, possess good classroom management skills, be collaborative, and believe that all children can learn. A valid Minnesota teaching license is desired, but not required. The applicant must support the school?s mission and philosophy, and have the desire to support and help the children grow in mind, body, and spirit through Catholic values.
