Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools is committed to: - A culture of high quality and effective instruction - Partnerships and collaboration - Student and staff well-being - High student achievement - Stewardship of resources - Equitable education Primary Responsibilities: - Coach for inclusive, high-quality instruction - Provide job-embedded coaching (co-plan, model, observe, and provide feedback) - Strengthen Tier 2 & 3 instruction to ensure access for all students - Support the onboarding and mentoring of new teachers in our school district - Lead MnMTSS Implementation - Support consistent implementation of the MnMTSS framework across buildings - Assist teams in developing and implementing interventions aligned to student needs - Support progress monitoring and data-based decision making - Ensure curriculum and standards align - Ensure students receiving special education services have access to grade-level, standards-aligned curriculum - Use data to drive instruction - Support teams in using multiple data sources (screeners, diagnostics, progress monitoring) - Build teacher capacity - Design and facilitate professional learning aligned to: - Special education best practices - Inclusive instruction and co-teaching - MTSS systems and structures - Support Due Process across the district - Foster systemwide coherence - Collaborate across buildings to ensure consistency in MTSS practices and special education supports Outstanding candidates will have: - Knowledgeable in variety of research-based interventions & instructional practices - Knowledgeable in effective MTSS practices - Strong collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills - Thoughtful and deliberate decision-makers - Creative problem solvers with extraordinary relationship skills - Innovative and able to develop, promote and implement quality programs - Motivating and positive with students, staff, and parents/guardians - Comfortable with and able to promote the effective use of technology as a tool for teaching and learning - Able to provide leadership within the school, district and community - Life-long learners and good role models Required Qualifications: - Valid Minnesota teaching license in special education or relevant experience and willingness to seek a license with special permission from PELSB - Bachelor''s Degree in relevant subject area - Minimum 5-years of successful teaching experience - Strong understanding of MTSS, inclusive practices, and standards-aligned instruction Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with coaching, teacher leadership, or mentoring - Experience teaching special education students Contract: 1.0 FTE, 182 contract days plus 5 extra days for a total of 187 days beginning the 2026-2027 school year. Salary and Benefits: Salary based on the 2025-2027 Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Associations Master Agreement starting at $52,166 up to $97,326. Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions.
