The Night Lead Custodian is responsible for supervising and performing custodial operations during evening and overnight hours to ensure a clean, safe, and secure school environment for students, staff, and community use. This position leads custodial staff, assigns and inspects nightly work, and ensures all cleaning and sanitation standards are consistently met across classrooms, common areas, gymnasiums, and other school facilities. In addition to custodial leadership duties, the Night Lead Custodian is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of building systems, including licensed oversight of the school''s boiler and swimming pool systems. This includes maintaining proper pool water chemistry, conducting routine inspections, ensuring safe boiler operation, and complying with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Night Lead Custodian serves as the primary on-site contact during non-school hours, responding to alarms, emergencies, and facility issues as needed. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the building is safe, functional, and ready for the next school day. Strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and attention to detail are essential.
