Job Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and/or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) aligned with early childhood special education best practices. Utilize play-based learning strategies to support the development of young children with disabilities and developmental delays. Collaborate with families, service providers, and general education teachers to create an inclusive learning environment. Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain appropriate records to support data-driven decision-making. Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and related service providers to implement student support strategies. Perform other duties as assigned. Specific Responsibilities: Provide direct support and communication to families regarding student progress and intervention strategies. May provide guidance and training for paraprofessionals and volunteers in the classroom. Contribute to the continuous improvement of early childhood special education programming. Know, interpret, and follow school District policies. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of early childhood development and best practices in special education. Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities. Eagerness to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and service providers. Proficiency in utilizing assessment tools, data collection, and IEP documentation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Passion for play-based learning. Maintain professional composure while managing multiple priorities.
