Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students across the district. Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations in alignment with state and federal special education requirements. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect students'' communication needs. Provide therapy in individual, small-group, and/or classroom-based formats. Collaborate with special education teams, general education staff, and families to support student success in communication-related goals. Maintain detailed and compliant documentation, including progress reports, evaluation reports, third-party billing reports, and service logs. Participate in child study teams, evaluation planning, IEP meetings, and professional learning opportunities. Support AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) systems when appropriate and provide training for staff and families. Adhere to district, state, and federal policies regarding special education services. Knowledge and Skills: Strong foundation in school-based speech-language services and evidence-based practices. Knowledge of articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders and their impact on learning. Experience with AAC tools and assistive technology is preferred but not required. Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to manage caseload responsibilities and maintain compliance timelines. Familiarity with due process systems such as SpEd Forms (preferred).
